Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food preparation preferred
- ability to stand for extended periods
- capacity to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds
- good communication skills
- ability to follow food safety and hygiene regulations
- availability to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm, Wednesday from 10:30 am to 7 pm
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a high-volume kitchen or food preparation role preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to manage time effectively
- good communication skills
- ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- physical ability to perform cleaning and lifting tasks
Job Duties
- assist the Food Services Manager with ingredient preparation
- perform simple meal prep
- prepare fresh produce and meat in a high-volume kitchen serving over 100 meals daily
- assist with inventory control
- wash and clean kitchen areas including garbage removal
- sweep and mop floors
- clean garbage cans
- clear and clean refrigerators, freezers, and storage rooms
- help stock pantries
- record notable food wastage based on clients leftovers
- communicate effectively with clients when serving food
- comply with all food health and safety regulations
