Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food preparation preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • capacity to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds
  • good communication skills
  • ability to follow food safety and hygiene regulations
  • availability to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm, Wednesday from 10:30 am to 7 pm

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a high-volume kitchen or food preparation role preferred
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to manage time effectively
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • physical ability to perform cleaning and lifting tasks

Job Duties

  • assist the Food Services Manager with ingredient preparation
  • perform simple meal prep
  • prepare fresh produce and meat in a high-volume kitchen serving over 100 meals daily
  • assist with inventory control
  • wash and clean kitchen areas including garbage removal
  • sweep and mop floors
  • clean garbage cans
  • clear and clean refrigerators, freezers, and storage rooms
  • help stock pantries
  • record notable food wastage based on clients leftovers
  • communicate effectively with clients when serving food
  • comply with all food health and safety regulations
