Job Requirements

  • Formal culinary education and SERV Safe certification
  • experience as a chef in diverse food styles
  • knowledge of health department sanitation regulations
  • adherence to health and safety standards including Joint Commission requirements
  • current TB test and CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to complete
  • if in recovery, a minimum of two years of continuous sobriety, compliance with company UA/breathalyzer policy

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve high-quality, nutritious meals and snacks daily
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation in food preparation areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • plan menus based on budget, client census, and seasonal ingredient availability
  • manage food procurement, inventory, and vendor relationships
  • ensure dietary accommodations for clients with specific needs
  • monitor and improve kitchen operations and client satisfaction
  • uphold compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations, Joint Commission standards, HIPAA, and 42 CFR
  • complete assigned projects and tasks as requested by management
