The facility integrates professional healthcare management with compassionate personal care, ensuring residents achieve the best possible quality of life during their stay. As a cornerstone of the Greenville community's healthcare network, West Village Post Acute utilizes state-of-the-art equipment and an experienced team of healthcare practitioners to deliver comprehensive patient-centric care.
The facility is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef to join its team in a long-term care setting. This full-time role offers a schedule of 30 hours per week and a competitive pay range of $22 to $23 per hour. The Chef will play a crucial role in providing residents with delicious, nutritious, and well-balanced meals tailored to meet their individual dietary needs. Beyond culinary expertise, the ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity in menu planning and collaborate closely with the Dietary Manager and Dietitian to accommodate therapeutic and texture-modified diets essential for residents' health requirements.
In this critical position, the Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals in strict accordance with facility menus and specific resident dietary guidelines. Maintaining compliance with food safety, sanitation, and infection control protocols is paramount to preserving residents' health and safety. The Chef will also oversee organization and cleanliness in the kitchen, ensuring efficiency and adherence to regulatory standards. Strong time management skills and meticulous attention to detail during meal preparation and service are necessary to meet demanding schedules and resident expectations.
Leadership and teamwork are integral components of this role. The Chef will lead and collaborate with dietary team members to promote a positive, team-oriented work environment that supports both staff and resident satisfaction. Creativity is encouraged, especially in contributing innovative ideas for menu planning and special events that enhance the dining experience for residents. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled culinary professional passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of long-term care residents while thriving in a supportive, resident-focused workplace environment.
