This role is a full-time position based in Orlando, Florida, on the night shift at the 601 E Rollins St address.

The Respiratory Therapist role at AdventHealth involves performing thorough clinical patient assessments and delivering comprehensive respiratory therapy, including breathing treatments and managing arterial blood gases. The therapist is responsible for managing oxygen therapy, operating mechanical ventilators, and performing intubations, ensuring that patients receive the appropriate respiratory treatments tailored to their needs. This role includes autonomy and responsibility for patient documentation in the electronic medical records system, active participation in interdisciplinary rounds for holistic patient care input, and responding promptly to emergency situations such as code blue and rapid response calls. The candidate will be expected to lead shift assignments occasionally, assist with bedside bronchoscopy procedures, administer aerosolized medications, conduct lung function testing, and perform arterial blood gas analyses accurately. Critical skills such as airway management, infection control, and ventilator management are essential, along with proficiency in EMR systems like Cerner and Epic. Candidates will work with diverse patient populations, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, providing specialized care where necessary. This role requires a strong ability to multitask and make decisions that benefit both patient outcomes and operational efficiency. AdventHealth places significant emphasis on credential maintenance, requiring all therapists to hold current licenses and certifications, such as State Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) and Basic Life Support CPR certification. The pay range for this position is $23.94 to $44.53 per hour. AdventHealth also adheres to Florida's Level 2 background screening laws, including fingerprinting as part of the hiring process.
