Job Description
Home Instead is a leading provider of personalized in-home care services, dedicated to improving the lives of seniors and individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. With a strong presence across communities, Home Instead operates through independently owned and operated franchise offices, each committed to delivering compassionate care tailored to meet the unique needs of clients. The company's mission emphasizes enhancing quality of life through trusted, professional support that allows clients to maintain independence and comfort in their own homes. As an Honor Company franchise, Home Instead upholds high standards for caregiver training, client safety, and ethical service delivery, making it a reputable and sought-after employer in the home health care industry.
This current job opportunity is for a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Aide (PCA) at Home Instead, offering competitive hourly pay ranging from $22.00 to $23.00 and flexible scheduling to accommodate diverse lifestyles. New hires are also eligible for a $250 sign-on bonus after meeting specific work hour requirements, underscoring Home Instead's commitment to attracting and retaining dedicated caregivers. The role involves providing essential health care, personal hygiene assistance, and support services that contribute significantly to the overall well-being of clients.
Caregivers in this position perform a range of vital duties, including assisting with routine activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Beyond physical assistance, caregivers offer companionship and emotional support, which are critical to enhancing clients' quality of life. The position requires vigilance in observing and reporting changes in client health or behavior to clinical supervisors, ensuring that care plans are responsive and effective. Medication administration, safe transfers, mobility assistance, and light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and cleaning form part of the daily responsibilities. Specifically, caregivers support clients with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other memory-related conditions by employing specialized care strategies.
Candidates must demonstrate competence in performing skills outlined in the client's care plan and adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality and privacy. Successful caregivers possess strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals, as well as proficiency in medical terminology and standardized documentation practices. Experience in home and community care settings is highly valued, alongside a genuine commitment to providing respectful and compassionate care.
The role offers opportunities for professional growth through paid training and encourages an inclusive workforce by welcoming applicants with diverse backgrounds, including those with criminal records. Mileage reimbursement and referral programs further enhance the benefits package, supporting caregivers both personally and professionally. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others, especially seniors and those requiring tailored health support within their homes. It is an in-person opportunity, allowing caregivers to establish meaningful relationships and provide hands-on assistance where it matters most.
