The Central Office Receptionist position within Lakota Local Schools serves as the critical first point of contact for the district's administrative offices. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming, secure, and efficient front office environment that supports both staff and visitors. The receptionist manages the main phone systems, greets and directs visitors, and provides vital clerical and receptionist support to ensure smooth operations throughout the day. This full-time, 12-month position plays a vital role in enhancing customer service, maintaining building security, facilitating effective communication flow, and supporting the overall organizational effectiveness of the district. The position operates standard full-time hours, Monday through Friday, and follows a 260-day school year calendar. Compensation starts at $21.63 per hour, with consideration given to verified experience. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in receptionist, clerical, or office support roles preferred
  • demonstrated customer service and communication skills
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to work 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
  • availability to work 260 days per school year calendar

Job Duties

  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers
  • manage incoming phone calls and route them appropriately
  • greet and direct visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • maintain security protocols by monitoring access to the building
  • perform general clerical duties including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence
  • support day-to-day office operations to ensure efficiency
  • provide excellent customer service to staff, students, and community members
