Our winery is recognized for maintaining the highest standards in wine production and customer satisfaction. We value teamwork, safety, and continuous learning and operate under strict standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and excellence in every batch of wine we produce.
This position is for a full-time Cellar Worker under the supervision of the Cellar Supervisor. The role is critical in supporting daily winery and wine production operations and requires a dedicated individual to manage key tasks such as receiving and processing grapes, maintaining winery sanitation, and facilitating various cellar functions. Work hours are scheduled Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and the compensation is set at $20 per hour. The Cellar Worker will be expected to learn and adhere to company SOPs with proper guidance and training to ensure quality and safety standards are met consistently.
The role demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to operate machinery and equipment within the cellar. Cellar Workers are responsible for monitoring crushing operations, connecting pumps, operating valves, and transferring liquids between stainless steel tanks. They also assist in chemical addition to wines, filtering processes, and equipment sanitation, utilizing tools like pressure washers and hand tools. This role requires awareness and proactive communication to ensure operational efficiency and safety at all times.
Ideal candidates will have previous experience working in winery or cellar operations, possess a basic understanding of math, and demonstrate the ability to work safely with chemicals and as part of a team. Forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory. This role involves physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying materials, bending, climbing, and working in varying environmental conditions, which may include exposure to heat, cold, and humidity. The work environment requires adherence to personal protective equipment protocols, including respirators, safety glasses, gloves, and more.
Our winery is committed to providing a supportive work environment with an array of benefits that promote employee well-being and professional development. Team members enjoy comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and AD&D insurance, paid time off, and paid family medical leave, as well as a robust 401(k) profit sharing plan with company match. Additional perks include holiday pay, PTO donation options, an employee assistance program, and exclusive employee discounts on wine and other products.
We pride ourselves on offering an inclusive and equitable workplace, welcoming applicants without regard to race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or veteran status. Join our team to contribute to our mission of crafting exceptional wines while growing your skills in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
