Operating across multiple trade channels such as grocery, mass merchandise, specialty outlets, drug stores, and home centers, CDS bridges the vital gap between manufacturers and retailers, ensuring consumers have direct access to the finest products available in today’s competitive marketplace. As a leader in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management, and marketing services for consumer packaged goods and food products, CDS is committed to excellence, innovation, and sustained growth. This role offers full-time employment with a set schedule from Tuesday through Saturday, generally 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, which may vary by operational needs. The position also includes a comprehensive benefits package featuring medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability coverage, a 401(k) plan, and generous paid time off, promoting a healthy work-life balance for its employees.
The full-time Event Manager role at CDS spearheads the recruitment, hiring, and supervision of part-time in-store Product Demonstrators who represent top vendor products with excellence. This position demands strong leadership to oversee the meticulous preparation and presentation of products, adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, and the delivery of outstanding service to all Club members. The Event Manager acts as a communication hub between warehouse managers, vendors, and product demonstrators, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of product demonstrations. Additionally, the role involves direct participation in grand openings of new Costco locations, providing strategic support in driving sales activations and customer engagement during these pivotal events. This position emphasizes operational excellence by managing labor hours, sales performance, and costs, optimizing event quality and customer satisfaction. The manager also plays a critical role in training demonstrators, coaching to enhance their performance, and maintaining high standards for product presentation and customer interactions. The ability to lead and develop well-performing teams, exercise independent judgment, and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced retail environment is essential to thriving in this role. Ultimately, the Event Manager position is vital to strengthening vendor relationships, maximizing promotional opportunities, and supporting CDS’s mission to elevate the in-store customer experience through expert event marketing and sales activation.
