Job Description

Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is a leading marketing agency specializing in person-to-person marketing services, primarily serving as the preferred in-house event marketing provider to Costco. CDS excels at driving sales for both their clients and Costco by offering outstanding product demonstration experiences in retail environments. The company operates chiefly within North America and is recognized for delivering top-tier service by bridging the gap between manufacturers, retailers, and consumers, ensuring that quality products have the necessary exposure and customer engagement needed for marketplace success. As a full-time employer, CDS provides a stable work environment with a set weekly schedule, attractive benefits, and professional growth opportunities for individuals passionate about marketing, customer service, and team leadership within retail and food industries.

The role of an Event Manager at CDS is essential for orchestrating successful in-store product demonstrations that enhance customer engagement and boost sales. This position requires recruiting, hiring, and supervising part-time Product Demonstrators while ensuring that all product preparation and presentation adhere to high food safety and sanitation standards. The Event Manager acts as the critical communication link between warehouse managers, vendors, and demonstrators. They are also involved in coordinating new store grand openings, reinforcing the company’s commitment to excellence in event marketing. This role demands a person with stellar communication and leadership skills capable of independently managing teams in fast-paced retail settings. The Event Manager’s responsibilities extend beyond on-site events and include monitoring performance metrics like sales outcomes, labor hours, and operational costs to optimize overall event success. CDS offers its Event Managers the opportunity to thrive in a dynamic and rewarding industry, with a work schedule of Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, full-time benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability coverage, 401(k) plan, and generous paid time off. This structure supports a balanced work-life scenario while enabling the Event Manager to become a key player in consumer packaged goods marketing and retail event management.
