Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is the leading in-house event marketing provider for Costco, specializing in delivering top-notch person-to-person marketing services that help drive sales and enhance the shopping experience for Costco members. With a strong reputation for excellence, CDS focuses on creating engaging and informative product demonstrations in retail environments, primarily within Costco stores. This ensures that customers receive firsthand information about new and existing products, boosting customer satisfaction and loyalty while maximizing sales opportunities for both Costco and the brands they represent.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Event Manager to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role is essential in managing the in-store product demonstration teams by coordinating the recruitment, hiring, and supervision of product demonstrators. The Event Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the preparation and presentation of products, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, and providing comprehensive training to staff. The position involves strong communication and collaboration with warehouse managers, vendors, and in-store teams, guaranteeing smooth operations and high-quality demonstrations.
This full-time position offers a set work schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on the needs of the business. Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Two to four years of related experience in retail, hospitality or food environments
- Detail oriented with excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proven ability to lead well performing teams
- Ability to exercise independent judgement
- Able to coach and counsel employees and take correct measures as needed
- Flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment
