The Event Manager role at CDS is a full-time position with a consistent work schedule from Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, though this may vary depending on business needs. This position requires an individual who excels in leadership, communication, and team supervision. The primary responsibility of the Event Manager is to recruit, hire, and oversee the in-store Product Demonstrator team that plays a critical role in engaging customers and enhancing product visibility throughout Costco locations. The Event Manager leads the preparation and presentation of products, ensuring adherence to strict food safety and sanitation standards, essential for maintaining CDS’s reputation for quality and reliability.

This role also involves training Product Demonstrators in both the technical aspects of product preparation and effective customer service techniques, thereby ensuring consistent, professional demonstrations that resonate well with club members. The Event Manager acts as the essential communication hub between warehouse managers, vendors, and demonstrators, ensuring smooth operations and well-coordinated events. An important part of the job includes leading participation in new location grand openings, where first impressions are critical for long-term success. This position demands a detail-oriented professional capable of managing high-performing teams with independent judgment, demonstrating flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.

Job Requirements

  • two to four years of related experience in retail, hospitality, or food environments
