US3070 Sygma Oklahoma is part of The Sygma Network, Inc., a trusted name in foodservice distribution that operates as a key subsidiary of Sysco Corporation. Sysco is the global leader in foodservice distribution with over 71,000 colleagues and a vast operational network consisting of approximately 333 distribution facilities worldwide. These facilities support more than 700,000 customer locations, facilitating the seamless delivery of high-quality food products and services. Housed in the 74361 zip code area, US3070 Sygma Oklahoma benefits from being part of this extensive network, giving it access to significant resources and an established reputation in the industry.
As a company, The Sygma Network, Inc. upholds strong values around safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, ensuring that all operations meet rigorous standards. Their commitment to providing reliable service is reflected in their comprehensive training and stringent operational guidelines. Being part of Sysco’s umbrella, the company also focuses strongly on diversity, equal opportunity employment, and fostering an inclusive workplace for all employees. Working here means becoming part of a dynamic organization focused on growth, innovation, and sustainability in food distribution.
The current role offered is a Tractor Trailer Driver position with zero travel percentage beyond the assigned local deliveries from the warehouse to customer locations. This is a full-time position centered on the safe and efficient transportation of food service products. The role emphasizes adherence to strict safety standards, food safety protocols, and accurate delivery procedures. Drivers are expected to operate a tractor trailer vehicle, handle loading and unloading duties, and maintain clear communication with both customers and management teams.
Candidates will be responsible for delivering products timely along assigned routes and ensuring that products are placed in designated areas following customer specifications and company policies. This includes unloading by hand or using equipment like hand carts in various environmental conditions. Handling customer returns and damaged goods with proper documentation and transporting them back to the warehouse is another key responsibility.
In addition to operating the vehicle safely, drivers must complete all paperwork such as DOT logs, vehicle maintenance reports, and delivery invoices accurately and on time. Food safety is a critical aspect of the job, requiring drivers to maintain proper product storage temperatures and ensure sanitary conditions in the tractor and trailer. The ability to work an overnight schedule with occasional overtime, weekend, and holiday shifts is required to meet customer demands. This role demands physical stamina as drivers regularly lift or move products weighing up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavier items using hand carts.
Ideal candidates will have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License, the capability to read and speak English well enough to comply with transportation laws and customer interactions, and experience driving tractor trailers over long distances and in varying weather and traffic conditions. The company values problem-solving skills, strong communication, and the ability to work independently while following detailed operational procedures.
This position offers candidates the opportunity to join a well-established leader in foodservice distribution with a focus on safety, quality, and customer service. Sysco and its subsidiaries provide competitive benefits and career development opportunities, making this an appealing role for professional drivers seeking a stable and rewarding career in the logistics and foodservice industry.
