As a CDL A Delivery Driver at US Foods in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, you will be an essential part of the transportation team, responsible for delivering food products and supplies safely and efficiently to customer locations. This role involves operating commercial vehicles on local routes, allowing drivers to be home every night. You will be the face of the US Foods brand in customer interactions, tasked with providing best-in-class customer service while ensuring accurate and timely deliveries. Drivers unload merchandise using hand trucks, verify deliveries with customers, and may be required to collect payments. The position demands physical stamina for frequent stops and heavy lifting of up to 80 pounds, as well as the ability to work under various weather conditions while maintaining high productivity and safety standards.

The work schedule for this role is Monday through Friday with early morning start times between 2:00 AM and 4:00 AM. Starting pay during the training period is $25.65 per hour, with pay increasing to component pay after training.
