The position available is an entry-level Driver Trainee role, designed for individuals who are eager to start a career in commercial driving within the food distribution industry. This role is vital as it supports the distribution of essential food products, contributing to America’s food supply chain. Driver Trainees are given the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to operate tractor trailers or straight trucks on a variety of routes including local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight assignments. The training program is comprehensive, including both classroom and on-the-road instruction under the guidance of an experienced driver trainer. Trainees must complete all training modules successfully and are responsible for learning how to conduct safety inspections, handle freight, and comply with Department of Transportation regulations.

The position requires a schedule primarily between 2 am and 6 am dispatch hours, with shifts from Monday through Friday and some rotational Saturdays, reflecting the essential, around-the-clock nature of food delivery operations. The pay range for this role is competitive, varying from $50,000 to $90,000 per year depending on experience and performance.
