CDL- B Delivery Driver

The Driver, Hourly CDL-B, is an essential role within Vistar, responsible for delivering food and food service products across intrastate and interstate routes. Working full-time with a schedule primarily from Monday to Friday, the position involves early mornings with departures generally between 3am and 5am. Although the role is mostly day routes, there can be up to one overnight per week based on business needs, for which per diem and safe lodging are provided. This role requires exemplary adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards. Drivers are expected to perform safety checks before and after trips, maintain accurate records such as logs and invoices, properly secure freight, and handle customer interactions professionally. Additionally, responsibilities include loading and unloading products, conducting damage control, collecting payments if necessary, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. The Driver, Hourly CDL-B, supports not just the physical transportation of goods, but also fosters positive customer relationships through courteous and professional communication.
