Job Description
CPC Logistics, Inc. is a reputable company specializing in private fleet operations, providing dedicated and reliable transportation solutions. Operating primarily in the logistics and freight delivery industry, CPC Logistics has built a strong reputation for efficiency, safety, and commitment to employee satisfaction. Based in Moreno Valley, CA, the company prides itself on its dedicated team of drivers who are essential in ensuring timely deliveries and exceptional service quality. CPC Logistics takes pride in fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace environment, emphasizing equal opportunity for all employees. This commitment to diversity and inclusion is reflected in their hiring practices and daily operations, promoting a supportive culture for all team members.
The company is currently seeking Extra Board Drivers to join their Walgreens Private Fleet Operations. These drivers will be responsible for local store deliveries as well as regional relay assignments, playing a critical role in the supply chain that keeps Walgreens stores well-stocked and operational. The position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $30.55 or $0.63 per mile, with a minimum weekly gross guarantee calculated as 40 times the hourly rate. Additionally, drivers can expect pay rate increases and weekly guarantees at 6, 12, and 18-month intervals, providing a clear pathway for career progression and financial growth.
One of the most attractive aspects of this role is the majority of home time occurring on weekends, enabling drivers to maintain a healthy work-life balance. CPC Logistics also offers a comprehensive benefits package from day one, including medical, vision, and dental insurance, along with a 401k retirement plan. Paid vacation benefits begin after six months of employment, adding to the overall attractiveness of the position.
For a limited time, the company is offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus and a referral bonus ranging from $1,500 to $2,500, making this a lucrative opportunity for qualified and motivated drivers. The job requires candidates to possess a Class A CDL with at least one year of verifiable experience, or alternatively six months of experience coupled with a certificate from a CDL school. Familiarity with unloading tailgated freight using a conveyor roller system is essential, and candidates must hold a CDL doubles endorsement. Flexibility to undertake various route types—including team driving, local delivery, and relay runs—is also required.
Candidates applying for this position should be able to meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, emphasizing safety and regulatory compliance. CPC Logistics is dedicated to supporting its drivers’ professional growth and fostering a work environment where dedication is recognized and rewarded. This role is well-suited for professional drivers interested in steady work, competitive pay, and substantial benefits, all while contributing to a dynamic logistics network that supports a major retail client.
