The Class A Truck Driver role at MSI involves the responsible and safe delivery of merchandise including countertop and flooring materials to various customer locations. This full-time, entry-level position operates primarily Monday through Friday from early morning starting at 4:00 AM until 6:00 PM. Drivers will handle local routes with multiple stops daily and will be required to go on 2-day runs approximately 70% of the time, with the advantage of being home every weekend. Compensation for this hourly, non-exempt role ranges from $25.75 to $28.75 per hour, including overtime pay at 1.5 times the base rate. Annually, new hires typically earn between $64,200 and $82,400 or more depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.

In this position, the driver will assist in the proper loading, unloading, and securing of cargo using blocks, ties, straps, chains, and binders. The role demands constant vigilance and safe operation of vehicles, as well as exceptional communication skills and a customer-focused approach. Drivers are expected to work independently, adapt to changing conditions, demonstrate patience and professionalism on the road, and maintain accurate legal logbooks. Understanding shipping documents such as bills of lading and picking sheets is essential, as is comfort with using digital devices like tablets or iPads, with bilingual Spanish skills regarded as a plus.

This safety-sensitive job also involves physical demands such as the ability to push and pull up to 137 pounds vertically, lift and carry loads of up to 55 pounds, and manage various tasks at different heights including the assembly and disassembly of securing equipment at elevated or low positions.
