Renowned for its commitment to quality, reliability, and outstanding customer service, US Foods continues to drive innovation and growth in the foodservice sector. The company places great emphasis on creating a positive work environment, nurturing talent, and providing growth opportunities for its employees, making it not only a preferred partner for customers but also an employer of choice in the industry.

The position of CDL A Delivery Driver at US Foods offers a rewarding career path within this dynamic foodservice company. This role is essential in ensuring timely and safe delivery of food products to customers, maintaining the high standards US Foods is known for. As a CDL A Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks, managing product unloading, verifying deliveries, and providing exceptional customer service. This role offers an excellent salary starting at $33.80 per hour with increases to $37.80 after one year, complemented by a $10,000 retention bonus. With an annual average compensation reaching $96,700 in the first year and potentially $108,000 after 12 months—including overtime—this position provides a financially competitive and stable income.

US Foods also emphasizes work-life balance with a 5-day work week, two consecutive days off, and a schedule that dispatches between 3 AM and 5 AM, ensuring drivers are home daily. Additional benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K plans, life insurance, paid time off, a strong safety culture, and excellent local leadership support. This role suits individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, are safety-conscious, and possess strong communication skills to effectively engage with customers and contribute to team success.

The company requires drivers to be registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse—a secure online database managing CDL holders’ drug and alcohol program compliance—and meet specific age and licensing criteria. A minimum of six months’ commercial driving experience or three months in food and beverage delivery is necessary. Preferred skills include operating manual transmission vehicles and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and frequently stopping during deliveries, often in inclement weather.

US Foods continuously invests in its employees’ growth and well-being, promoting a culture built on trust, collaboration, and service. Joining the team means becoming part of a strong community focused on helping each other make it—not only meeting the demands of the road but also building a fulfilling career with ample support and opportunities for advancement. As a CDL A Delivery Driver, you become one of the key faces of US Foods, embodying integrity and reliability while contributing directly to the company’s success and customer satisfaction.
