Job Description

Dollar General Fleet is a prominent logistics and transportation division of Dollar General Corporation, one of America’s leading general merchandise retailers with thousands of stores expanding nationwide. The fleet plays a crucial role in connecting the company’s well-organized distribution centers with individual Dollar General stores, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of vital goods across the country. As a key part of a large and growing enterprise, Dollar General Fleet drivers enjoy the stability and support of a reputable company that values its employees by providing comprehensive benefits and competitive compensation. Dollar General Fleet is dedicated to supporting drivers through modern equipment, safety incentives, and a welcoming culture that even accommodates bringing pets along on the road.

This position focuses on hiring Class A CDL Truck Drivers for regional routes that allow drivers to return home every week. Unlike long-haul assignments that often keep drivers away from family for extended periods, Dollar General emphasizes predictable schedules and routes, giving drivers the opportunity to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Drivers will operate new equipment, delivering merchandise from distribution centers to Dollar General retail locations, helping to sustain the retail supply chain’s fluidity. This role is especially attractive to drivers who want to earn a competitive salary — up to $100,000 annually depending on route, experience, and bonuses — while still enjoying the comforts of home weekly.

Key features of the position include paid mile and stop pay, quarterly safety bonuses rewarding responsible driving, and a weekly pay schedule to provide financial reliability. Furthermore, the company offers a tempting benefits package beginning day one of employment, including 401(k) plans and other comprehensive benefits. Dollar General Fleet also encourages a pet-friendly work environment, allowing one vaccinated dog or cat to accompany the driver in the cab, further demonstrating how the company supports an enjoyable life on the road.

The role requires a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License, a minimum of 21 years of age, and at least one year of tractor-trailer driving experience. These requirements ensure that drivers are well qualified to operate vehicles safely and efficiently. The safety culture is further reinforced with quarterly bonuses and a zero-cost rider policy, helping to create a supportive, safe, and cost-effective driving environment.

Joining Dollar General Fleet means becoming part of a respected national brand that is continuously growing and innovating. Drivers play a vital role in the retail supply chain, ensuring communities across the country have access to essential goods. The home-weekly regional routes, competitive pay, comprehensive benefits starting on day one, and pet-friendly policies make this position a coveted opportunity for CDL drivers seeking long-term career growth and quality of life. If you are a qualified CDL-A driver looking for consistent routes, excellent pay, and family-friendly policies, Dollar General Fleet is ready to welcome you aboard.
