Currently, US FOODS is hiring CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to join its growing transportation team. This is an essential role where drivers act as one of the primary faces of the organization, directly impacting customer satisfaction through timely and safe delivery of foodservice products. The role offers a competitive hourly wage of $33.62 with overtime pay and a generous $15,000 retention bonus paid out over two years for qualified employees.

The position is local with routes that allow drivers to be home every night, contributing to a balanced lifestyle. Drivers work Monday through Saturday, with shifts beginning between midnight and 6 am, continuing until routes are completed. This schedule supports early morning deliveries critical to customer operations.

As a delivery driver, you will be entrusted with transporting various food and supply items using a commercial vehicle, managing multiple stops, handling heavy lifting up to 80 pounds, and performing deliveries in different weather conditions. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • valid CDL Class A license with necessary endorsements
  • pass DOT physical examination
  • minimum six months commercial driving experience or three months food and beverage delivery driving experience
  • valid U.S. driver’s license with proper endorsements
  • no more than two traffic violations in past two years
  • no DUI convictions in past three years
  • no driver’s license suspensions in past three years
  • high school diploma or GED preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • valid U.S. driver’s license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required
  • no more than two convictions in the past two-year period for traffic violations
  • no DUI convictions in the past three years
  • no driver’s license suspensions in the past three years
  • minimum of six months of commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months of driving experience in the food and beverage delivery industry required
  • must be able to pass DOT physical

Job Duties

  • Deliver best-in-class customer service
  • deliver customers’ orders to meet scheduled delivery times and keep productivity
  • unload products with a hand truck and place items in the customer storage area
  • perform repeated, manual heavy lifting of items up to 80 pounds
  • make frequent stops during a work shift
  • deliver product in inclement weather conditions
  • verify delivery of items with customers
