The primary responsibility of this position is to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer to transport doubles, and potentially triples, between Sysco's facility and shuttle yards. This role requires a professional driver who values safety, punctuality, and customer service as they occasionally may be required to unload and deliver various products to customer locations on assigned routes. Shift schedules typically fall between 4am and 6am starts, Monday through Friday with alternating Saturdays, allowing for 8-10 hour shifts. Job Requirements
- 21 plus years of age
- Must submit to a pre-employment drug screen
- Valid Class A CDL license
- Ability to read and speak English
- Clean driving record
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Willingness to work early morning shifts and alternating Saturdays
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for communication and safety purposes
- Preferred doubles/triples endorsement
- Previous experience with tractor-trailer operation beneficial
- Strong understanding of traffic signs and highway safety regulations
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting freight
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
