Job Description
Koch Trucking is a reputable, family-owned transportation company that has been serving the industry since 1978. With an emphasis on respect, excellence, safety, and innovation, Koch Trucking has established itself as a leader in full-service transportation and distribution. Operating as part of Koch Companies, which includes six divisions specializing in various transportation and logistics services, Koch Trucking offers a diverse range of options such as Dedicated, Regional, Flatbed, Marine, and Specialized transportation. These services provide flexibility and tailor-made solutions to meet the unique shipping needs of customers. The company's longstanding commitment to creating a healthy work environment helps both employees and customers thrive. Recognized for its supportive culture, Koch Trucking has earned accolades such as the 2025 Top Company for Women to Work for in Transportation by the Women in Trucking Association and designation as a Top 200 Workplace by the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Their truck fleet averages an impressive 16 months in age, with equipment including models like the Volvo 860 and Freightliner Cascadias, which come fully equipped with driver-friendly features such as refrigerators, leather interiors, double bunks, inverters, and double curtain wrap.
The role offered is for CDL-A flatbed company drivers who will join the flatbed division, which provides consistent and steady miles on routes with recurring customer interactions to foster familiarity. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay averaging $85,000 annually, with top performers earning up to $95,000 per year. The starting pay ranges from 61 to 63 cents per mile based on experience, complemented by a $6,000 hiring bonus. Drivers accrue paid time off starting on their very first day, along with three floating holidays, and are eligible for comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability coverage. The company also offers a 401k plan with a company match to support drivers’ long-term financial planning. Additional pay incentives include over-dimensional pay based on miles, extra payments for heavy loads over 64k pounds, stop pay of $30 per stop, tarp pay of $50 for tarped loads, and $100 for each loaded border crossing to Canada for drivers who elect to cross the border. Koch Trucking further distinguishes itself by providing all-expenses-paid orientations in upscale hotels located in Roseville, MN, and Appling, GA. Drivers receive weekly pay and come equipped with a free iPad with a data package to stay connected with family and friends. The company promotes a pet-friendly and rider-friendly policy, access to the Rolling Strong driver wellness app, and a well-stocked driver’s lounge offering complimentary essentials such as soap, shampoo, towels, toothbrush, toothpaste, laundry soap, pizza, and sandwiches. This role offers an excellent opportunity for drivers seeking a supportive company culture, competitive compensation, and career advancement in a family-centered environment. Koch Trucking invites qualified CDL-A drivers to join their team and experience a rewarding career with one of the industry's most respected transportation companies.
