Job Description
U.S. LUMBER is a respected and rapidly growing logistics company specializing in the transportation of lumber and related materials. Known for its commitment to trust, deep industry knowledge, and responsive service, U.S. LUMBER has established itself as a leader in the logistics sector. The company’s emphasis on strong relationships with clients and employees alike cultivates an environment where professionalism and reliability are paramount. With consistent growth, U.S. LUMBER offers not only excellent service to its extensive customer base but also career advancement opportunities to its dedicated workforce.
This job opening is for a Class A CDL Driver position where the selected candidate will enjoy competitive compensation starting at a $1200 weekly minimum, with opportunities for a $400 monthly bonus. The employment schedule is Monday through Friday, and the role offers the valuable benefit of being home daily, which supports work-life balance. In addition to the attractive pay and schedule, U.S. LUMBER provides a strong benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage beginning on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Employees also receive company-paid life insurance and disability coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, 3 weeks of paid time off combined with paid holidays, and volunteer time to encourage community involvement.
The CDL A Driver role is integral to the company's operations, requiring skilled operation of tractor-trailers or flatbed trucks to deliver and pick up cargo efficiently and safely. Responsibilities entail preparing and reviewing all necessary documentation to ensure timely and accurate delivery and pickup of goods. The driver will maintain compliance with DOT travel logs and federal and state transportation regulations including pre-trip and post-trip safety reports, 7-day/60-hour logs, fuel logs, and proper use of fuel cards. Additionally, the driver will secure cargo with tarping when necessary, especially during adverse weather conditions, to ensure safety and protection of freight. Vehicle presentation and maintenance of cleanliness and operational standards are also crucial components of the role.
Given the physical demands of the position, candidates must be able to safely ascend and descend from cab and flatbed trailer locations at each stop. This role is perfect for a dependable, safety-focused driver with prior tractor-trailer or flatbed driving experience who values a structured schedule with a reputable company that prioritizes employee well-being and professional development. U.S. LUMBER prides itself on having the best team in the industry, and this position continues to offer immense opportunities for career growth as the company expands its operations.

They adhere strictly to policies that prohibit discrimination in hiring and employment based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, age, military status, genetic information, or any other protected class status in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
