As a specialized division of Performance Food Group, PFG Customized Distribution focuses on providing customized attention, centralized contact for product lines, menu changes, and account coordination to its diverse customer base across the United States and in more than 40 countries worldwide. This commitment to tailored service empowers PFG Customized Distribution to deliver seamless supply chain solutions that strengthen the foodservice industry.
PFG Customized Distribution operates within the foodservice and distribution sector, playing a critical role in the delivery and supply chain that supports some of the largest and most beloved restaurant brands. The company prides itself on fostering a safe, inclusive working environment that embraces a culture of rewards, recognition, and respect, providing employees with notable growth opportunities and a strong support system. Offering competitive pay and an array of benefits, including day-one health and wellness benefits, an employee stock purchase plan, 401(k) employer matching, education assistance, and paid time off, PFG Customized Distribution is a great place for individuals seeking a long-term career in logistics and transportation.
This role represents an essential position within the food supply chain, serving as the linchpin in ensuring that food and food-related products are delivered safely, timely, and professionally to customers. The position requires a CDL A license holder to operate tractor trailers or straight trucks over intrastate and interstate routes that may include local deliveries, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, overnight, and drive and drop route assignments. The schedule for this team route position consists of a four-day workweek with rotating days Sunday to Saturday, and dispatch times that range between 8:00 PM and 2:00 AM. The role offers the opportunity to earn an average weekly pay between $1,700 and $1,800 after training, with the potential to exceed $3,000 per week, along with a $5,000 sign-on bonus (terms apply).
As a delivery driver for PFG Customized Distribution, you will be the face of the company, establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships while upholding the highest safety and service standards. Responsibilities extend beyond driving and delivering to include safety inspections, verifying and completing required paperwork, unloading products, and performing damage control checks aligned with company policies. The company expects exemplary adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and internal safety protocols, ensuring the safe, timely, and customer-focused operation of all deliveries. This dynamic and demanding role requires physical capability in handling freight that varies in size and weight, including frequent use of equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates.
Ultimately, the role of a delivery driver at PFG Customized Distribution offers a pathway into a vital industry that supports America’s food ecosystem. With solid compensation, comprehensive benefits, advancement prospects, and a supportive work environment, this position is an excellent opportunity for qualified CDL A licensed professionals seeking stability and growth in their driving career.
