This opportunity is for a professional CDL A Delivery Driver who will play a crucial role in America’s food supply chain by ensuring timely and safe delivery of food and related products. This position offers competitive compensation with average weekly earnings ranging from $1,700 to $1,800 after training, and the potential to earn $3,000 or more weekly. The role follows a team route schedule with a convenient 4-day work week, with shifts scheduled Sunday through Saturday on a rotating basis during nighttime dispatch hours from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM. In addition to dependable pay, candidates are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus, subject to terms and eligibility restrictions.

As a Delivery Driver at PFG Customized Distribution, you will be responsible for operating tractor trailers or straight trucks on both intrastate and interstate routes, including local, over-the-road, shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop routes. You will ensure that deliveries are conducted in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations and company safety standards. Your duties include performing pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, securing freight, completing accurate paperwork, and unloading goods at customer locations. You will serve as the face of the company, building strong customer relationships through excellent communication and professional interaction with customers, vendors, and team members.

This role requires physical agility to handle lifting and use of equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates to move products typically ranging from 10 to 35 pounds, and in some cases, up to 90 pounds. Drivers are expected to perform thorough damage control checks, manage customer returns, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and submit daily logs in adherence to federal and state regulations. Job Requirements

  • Clean driving record for past 3 years
  • Ability to pass drug test and background check
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must pass road test
  • Able to lift between 10 to 90 pounds using equipment
  • Valid current or able to obtain DOT Health Card
  • Meet all applicable state licensing requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 6 months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A license

  • Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
  • Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift

Job Duties

  • Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner
  • Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company
  • Performs all required safety checks (pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
  • Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required
  • Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
  • Performs count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded
  • Drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
