Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months of commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL A license
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Compliance with all state licensing and certification requirements
- Clean motor vehicle record for the past 3 years
- Ability to pass a post offer drug test
- Successful completion of road test
- Possession of valid DOT health card
- Ability to safely hand-lift and operate equipment to move freight
- Physical capability to handle product cases weighing approximately 60 to 90 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- 6+ months of commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL A
- Must be 21 years of age
- Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test
- Pass road test
- Attain or have valid current DOT Health Card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move freight
- Able to handle product cases generally ranging from 60 to 90 pounds
Job Duties
- Attend and successfully complete PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program
- Ride with and assist driver trainer in executing deliveries
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight and complete accurate paperwork
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- Unload products, verify delivery with customers, collect payments where required
- Ensure tractor, trailer and freight are appropriately secured at all times
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
- Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log
- Perform general housekeeping duties and secure all equipment at end of shift
- Perform other related duties as assigned
