Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- one year tractor trailer driving experience preferred
- valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- ability to read and speak English
- insurable to operate company vehicle
- physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 350 pounds
- able to perform duties in various weather conditions
- able to work overnight schedule including weekends and holidays
- consistent and predictable attendance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- one year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred
- completion of tractor trailer driving school accepted
- valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently
- knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines
- skill in driving over long distances and varied terrains
- ability to handle hazardous materials and maintain food safety protocols
- ability to operate tractor-trailer, straight truck, and delivery equipment
- strong communication and problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Safely transports product from the warehouse to the customer location according to assigned route
- unloads product from trailer by hand or using hand cart in all weather conditions and places in designated storage areas
- picks up, loads, and unloads damaged goods and customer returns and transports them back to the warehouse
- completes all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner including DOT logs and maintenance reports
- maintains compliance with all food safety protocols and sanitary standards in vehicle and warehouse
- establishes good relationships with customers through excellent and courteous service
- communicates with management regarding route, trailer, loading, or product issues
