McLane Company, a prominent leader in the distribution industry for over 130 years, is committed to moving, supplying, and delivering America’s favorite brands efficiently and safely. Established in 1894, McLane has built a robust and expansive nationwide network that spans restaurants, retail stores, and the e-commerce sector. Their longstanding success is driven by a deep commitment to safety, reliability, and dedication, which are the core values defining their industry leadership. McLane is renowned not only for its operational excellence but also for its people-centered culture that embraces the latest technologies and continuous team member training to stay agile and responsive to client needs. The company places a strong emphasis on fostering long-term relationships with their drivers and clients alike, ensuring that employees enjoy secure career paths with competitive pay and dependable benefits. This is a chance to join an established company that values its workforce and offers a collaborative workplace environment focused on growth and innovation.
The role of a CDL-A Delivery Driver at McLane is designed for commercial drivers who aspire to elevate their careers while contributing to the essential mission of moving crucial goods across the country. As part of McLane's driving team, you will be responsible for transporting tractor-trailers safely and efficiently to destinations, navigating customer premises, and upholding rigorous DOT regulations. This position offers an opportunity to be part of a company that not only provides industry-leading pay packages with drivers earning up to $106,000 annually but also offers generous sign-on bonuses up to $10,000 based on experience. Besides financial rewards, McLane ensures drivers return home more often, underscoring its commitment to work-life balance.
Drivers are integral to McLane’s operations and are supported through comprehensive day-one benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with flexible spending accounts (FSA), health savings accounts (HSA), and company-paid life insurance. Vacation, sick leave accrual, and paid holidays start from the first day, reinforcing McLane's dedication to its employees’ welfare and job satisfaction. Additionally, drivers qualify for a 401(k) profit-sharing plan after just 90 days of employment, augmenting their long-term financial security. McLane also provides additional perks such as pet insurance, maternity and paternity leave, employee assistance programs, discount programs, and tuition reimbursement, making it a comprehensive employment package that supports and values its driving workforce.
This CDL-A Delivery Driver role requires candidates to have a valid Class A commercial driver’s license, be at least 21 years old, and possess a minimum of one year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience. Drivers must meet McLane’s motor vehicle record (MVR) standards and risk rating qualifications to be eligible. Proficiency in English is essential to reading, writing, understanding work instructions, and following safety protocols that ensure a safe operating environment. Candidates who are safety-focused, reliable, adaptable, and dedicated will thrive in this role and contribute significantly to McLane's mission and success.
McLane’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is reflected in its equal opportunity employment policies, ensuring that all applicants receive fair consideration regardless of age, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status. Additionally, candidates may be subject to background checks and drug screenings as part of the hiring process. By joining McLane, drivers become part of a storied company that values its people, innovates continuously, and moves America forward — together.
