This particular role is for a US Foods Driver, a vital position within the company's distribution network. Drivers operate trucks, handle product unloading, verify delivery accuracy, and maintain compliance with safety and operational guidelines. This position offers a competitive salary with an expected base rate between $39.50 and $43.50 per hour, along with paid training and overtime compensation. Work schedules consist of 4 or 5-day workweeks with dispatch times predominantly between 9 pm and 5 am, depending on operational needs.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have valid CDL Class A license with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months in food or beverage delivery
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull 20 to 80 plus pounds repetitively
  • Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather with frequent stops
  • Must register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English

Job Qualifications

  • Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
  • Must be able to read and communicate in the English language
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse

Job Duties

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
