The company prides itself on providing top-tier training programs to equip its employees with the skills they need to succeed and grow professionally. Its commitment to safety and quality service creates a supportive and rewarding work environment for all team members. As a leading foodservice provider, US Foods supplies a wide array of products to a diverse clientele including restaurants, healthcare facilities, and hotels, helping them deliver exceptional food experiences to their customers.
The role of a US Foods Delivery Driver offers an exciting opportunity to join a company that values its drivers as critical representatives of its brand. Drivers earn a competitive hourly wage of approximately $30.92, along with additional component pay based on factors like mileage and stops. Typically working five days a week, Monday through Saturday, with start times between 3am and 7am, drivers maintain a reliable schedule with opportunities for overtime. The job requires safely operating delivery trucks to transport food products to a variety of customers, ensuring orders are accurate and delivered on time. Drivers also handle unloading merchandise, verifying delivery details, and providing exceptional customer service to enhance client satisfaction. Physical stamina is necessary as the work involves lifting and moving heavy products, often in inclement weather conditions. The position demands a valid CDL Class A license, registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, and a minimum of six months of commercial driving experience, ideally within the food or beverage delivery sector.
US Foods supports its drivers with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k retirement plan, life insurance, and other valuable perks. The company fosters a strong safety culture and boasts excellent local leadership committed to employee success. Joining the US Foods team as a delivery driver means becoming part of a collaborative work environment where integrity, reliability, and customer relationships are paramount, and where every driver is empowered to make a positive impact both on and off the road.
