This position is for a US Foods Driver, a role critical to the company's success in delivering products efficiently and safely to customers. The driver will operate commercial trucks on scheduled routes that run Monday through Saturday, with typical start times between 3 AM and 6 AM. The role requires relocation to Aurora, IL scheduled for mid-2026. Compensation for this role varies based on relevant experience, education, specific skills, and geographic location, with an expected base rate ranging between $35.89 and $39.88 per hour.
The US Foods Driver is responsible for delivering food products to a variety of customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining high safety standards. In addition to driving, the driver will unload products using equipment such as two-wheelers and pallet jacks, verify delivery accuracy with customers, obtain necessary signatures, and handle collections if applicable. Customer service is a significant aspect of this role, with drivers serving as important representatives of US Foods by providing professional and courteous service. The position also includes performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment safety and compliance with regulations.
Physical demands of the job include lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling products weighing between 20 to over 80 pounds repetitively throughout the shift. Drivers must be capable of working in various weather conditions and making frequent stops during their routes. This role requires adherence to Department of Transportation regulations, including registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, which tracks commercial driver’s license compliance and drug and alcohol program violations.
Candidates must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid CDL Class A license issued by their state of legal residence, accompanied by the necessary endorsements. A minimum of six months of commercial driving experience is required, with a preference for three months of experience specifically in food and beverage delivery. The ability to operate manual transmissions is preferred and may be mandatory in certain locations. Effective communication in English is essential for understanding traffic laws, interacting with customers, and completing required documentation.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age

Job Duties
