Job Description

McLane Company is a leading distribution company with a rich history dating back to 1894. For over 130 years, McLane has been a cornerstone in the supply chain industry, providing dependable and efficient logistics services. Their extensive nationwide network supports various sectors, including restaurants, retail, and e-commerce, ensuring the delivery of essential products across America. Committed to innovation and excellence, McLane embraces cutting-edge technology and prioritizes ongoing team member training to maintain their status as an industry leader. The company prides itself on a people-centered culture, fostering a work environment where safety, reliability, and dedication are paramount. McLane's deep-rooted experience and expansive service reach make it a sought-after employer for those seeking a stable and rewarding career in logistics and transportation.

The CDL-A Delivery Driver position at McLane is a critical role focused on maintaining the company's reputation for safety and reliability in delivering America’s favorite brands. This full-time employment opportunity offers competitive pay, with an average driver earning between $90,000 to $95,000 annually, and top drivers surpassing $100,000 per year. The pay structure is comprehensive, including earnings based on hours, miles, cases, and stops, which rewards diligence and efficiency. Drivers also benefit from up to a $7,500 retention bonus, a $3,000 referral bonus, and medical, dental, and vision insurance from day one. Paid holidays, vacation time, sick leave accrual, and a 401(k) profit-sharing plan available after 90 days further enhance the compensation package. Additional perks such as pet insurance, maternity/paternity leave, employee assistance programs, discount programs, and tuition reimbursement reflect McLane’s commitment to a supportive work-life balance.

The role requires drivers to inspect their tractor-trailer pre and post-trip, ensure accuracy in delivery documentation like the bill of lading, and safely operate the commercial vehicle while complying with DOT regulations. Maintaining driver logs and safely unloading trailers at customer premises are essential duties. The position demands a strong attention to safety, reliability, and adaptability, aligning with McLane’s values. Candidates must hold a valid CDL-A license, have at least one year or 50,000 miles of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience, and meet McLane’s motor vehicle record (MVR) and risk rating standards. Effective communication and comprehension skills in English are necessary to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols.

Joining McLane means contributing to a forward-moving company dedicated to forging paths in the distribution industry while embracing new technologies and fostering a people-first culture. This position is an excellent opportunity for professional growth, competitive compensation, and comprehensive benefits, ideal for those committed to a long-lasting career in commercial driving and logistics.
