This position holds significant responsibility for ensuring that customers receive their products safely, punctually, and in excellent condition. Delivery drivers serve as the frontline representatives of the company, building trustworthy and lasting relationships with customers through professional conduct and quality service.\n\nThis is a full-time role requiring availability for a 5-day work week with potential duties Monday through Saturday, recognizing that dispatch times may vary. The position offers attractive earning potential upwards of $90,000 per year, complemented by a $2,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires. Drivers operate tractor-trailers or straight trucks on various routes, including intrastate, interstate, local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight drives, performing drive and drop tasks as necessary. Commitment to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies is critical to ensure passenger and freight safety. \n\nBeyond delivery, drivers undertake thorough safety inspections before and after trips, address mechanical or safety concerns promptly, and accurately complete required documentation. They also play an integral role in inventory management by counting items, checking invoices, and managing returns and damaged goods. Job Requirements

  • Must be available Monday through Saturday with varying dispatch times
  • Ability to drive tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road, shuttle, and overnight routes
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations and safety standards
  • Ability to perform pre and post trip inspections and report safety issues
  • Strong customer service skills and professional communication
  • Capability to handle loading, unloading and transporting freight safely
  • Must be physically capable of lifting between 10 to 90 pounds
  • Ability to complete accurate paperwork and maintain logs as per regulations
  • Reliable and punctual with excellent time management
  • Willingness to work in a safe, inclusive, and team-oriented environment

Job Qualifications

  • 12+ months of commercial driving experience
  • High school diploma/GED or state approved equivalent
  • Valid CDL A
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
  • Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift

Job Duties

  • Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner
  • Functions as a team member within the department and organization as required and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company
  • Performs all required safety checks including pre and post trip inspections of tractor, truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
  • Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required
  • Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
  • Immediately reports all safety hazards and inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • Performs count check of items and checks customer invoices of products that have been loaded
  • Checks and completes in an accurate and legible fashion all required paperwork associated with freight
  • Moves tractor to the loading dock and attaches preloaded trailer as needed
  • Drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
  • Unloads products from the trailer and transports items into designated customer storage areas
  • Performs damage control checks on items, scans, and contacts supervisor about removing orders according to company policy
  • Verifies delivery of items with customer and obtains proper signatures
  • Collects money where required
  • Loads customer returns onto trailer and secures trailer doors
  • Ensures that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or always secured
  • Unloads damaged goods and customer returns and completes necessary paperwork
  • Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keeps trailers clear and clean as required
  • Completes daily record of hours of service and enters log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
  • At the end of the shift secures all equipment and completes all necessary paperwork
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
