The Food Service Supervisor role at Aramark represents an exciting full-time career opportunity for individuals passionate about leading and supporting food services teams. Reporting to a manager, the supervisor plays a key role in coordinating daily operations, overseeing staff, and maintaining the high quality and safety standards that align with Aramark's policies and procedures. The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for producing and maintaining work schedules and production packets including recipes and production sheets, directing daily activities, and maintaining food safety and quality.

This role requires maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment where food items are properly stored, served, and prepared according to menu specifications. The supervisor is also tasked with inventory control, preparing orders as necessary, evaluating and mentoring staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety codes. Additionally, they manage maintenance logs for equipment, oversee preventative maintenance, and may recommend equipment replacements to meet facility needs.

Food Service Supervisors must be adept multitaskers, capable of filling in for absent employees when necessary, and must maintain communication with both food service staff and office personnel through various channels. Occasional evening and weekend work for catered events may also be required, along with attending food service meetings. The supervisor may occasionally perform cashier duties and promote positive public relations within the community. Overall, this position plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction in Aramark's food services operations. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a food service or supervisory role preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend verbal instructions
  • Completion of a sanitation course either before or during first year of employment
  • Knowledge of food safety and health regulations
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
  • Availability to work occasional nights and weekends for catered events
  • Ability to multitask and lead a team effectively

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and production packets
  • Direct daily activities
