Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous catering experience preferred
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule with varying days and hours
  • Open availability preferred
  • Ability to supervise hourly employees
  • Knowledge of food safety standards
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous hotel or country club catering experience preferred
  • Ability to supervise and manage a team of food service associates
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and open availability
  • Basic computer skills for payroll and scheduling

Job Duties

  • Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
  • Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
  • Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews and recommending disciplinary actions
  • Stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
  • Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils and cleans workstation thoroughly
  • Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
  • Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner and relays relevant information to supervisor
  • Demonstrates understanding of daily menu items and explains them accurately to associates and customers
  • Monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies, tracks production, consumption and waste, informs supervisor when supplies or products are low
  • Performs other duties as assigned
