The Catering Server plays an integral role in our team, serving as a direct link between our kitchen operations and our guests. This role demands more than just serving food; it involves setting up event spaces, arranging tables and buffet lines, preparing and serving food and beverages professionally, and maintaining clean, organized workstations. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude, eager to support all facets of the catering event. Responsibilities also extend to assisting with kitchen duties such as food preparation and dishwashing when necessary, ensuring food levels are replenished to keep service running smoothly, and interacting with guests to provide friendly and helpful service. This position demands adherence to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for both employees and guests. The employee must be able to handle physical job demands, including standing for long periods, lifting objects up to 50 pounds, and performing tasks requiring agility such as stooping and kneeling. Reporting directly to the Catering Manager or Event Lead, the catering server contributes significantly to the success of each event, supporting a seamless experience that meets the high service standards our clients expect. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to communicate write and understand English
- Must be able to work standing and walking in a fast-paced environment for up to 9 hours
- Must have a current TIPS/TAP Card
- Must have a current Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card
Job Qualifications

- Previous experience in catering or food service is preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Set up event spaces including arranging tables chairs and buffet lines
- Prepare and serve food and beverages to guests professionally and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area including food prep stations and serving areas
- Assist with kitchen duties as needed such as basic food prep and dishwashing
- Monitor food levels and replenish items promptly to ensure a smooth service
- Interact with guests in a friendly polite and helpful manner
- Break down event spaces clean up and properly store equipment and leftover food
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
