Job Description
ASM Global is a world leader in the management of publicly owned assembly facilities, delivering top-tier services and exceptional event experiences across numerous venues globally. The company focuses on creating memorable moments through its expertise in venue management, catering, and event operations. One of ASM Global's prominent venues, SAVOR Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, is currently seeking a dedicated Catering Server to join its Food and Beverage department. SAVOR Alamodome is known for hosting a wide variety of events, from sports to concerts to convention shows, attracting thousands of visitors and guests. Working at this venue, employees contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced environment where customer satisfaction and service quality are paramount.
The Catering Server is a vital part of the food and beverage team, reporting directly to the Catering Supervisor and Premium Manager. This part-time hourly, non-exempt position plays a central role in ensuring guests receive attentive, courteous, and efficient service. The main responsibility of the Catering Server is to answer guests' questions regarding food, beverage options, and facility details while providing prompt and courteous service during events. Key duties include greeting guests warmly, serving beverages responsibly in compliance with company standards, side work during downtime, and maintaining a clean, organized workstation. The role demands engagement with guests to develop relationships, communicate effectively with kitchen and beverage staff, and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and sanitation. Employees are expected to maintain full knowledge of menus, recipes, and company protocols, continually expanding their understanding of food and beverage offerings.
The job requires punctuality, professional appearance, and strict adherence to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines. Employees must be physically capable of standing and walking throughout shifts, as well as lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds as part of their duties. Given the nature of the venue, the Catering Server must be adaptable to work under varied conditions such as noise, temperature changes, humidity, and kitchen heat. Schedules frequently involve evenings, weekends, and holidays to align with event timings. This position offers valuable experience in the hospitality and event catering industry with opportunities to develop customer service skills, teamwork, and knowledge of food service operations in a high-volume venue. Overall, it is an excellent role for individuals seeking a rewarding part-time position within a globally recognized facility that thrives on delivering exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.
