Currently, Shaner Hotels is expanding its vibrant team at Hotel Celare, a Marriott Tribute Portfolio property located in the heart of Cincinnati's innovation corridor. Hotel Celare represents a modern and energetic hospitality experience set in The District at Clifton Heights, where culture, creativity, and community converge. The hotel offers a dynamic environment with thoughtfully designed spaces, including a lively lobby, sunlit event spaces, a wraparound terrace, and popular culinary destinations such as The Vick Rooftop Bar and Iris Café. This position involves developing and growing the catering and event business within assigned market segments, prospecting and booking new business, and maintaining strong client relationships.

As a Catering Sales Manager, you will meet with clients to meticulously plan and coordinate event details from initial consultation to execution. Creating proposals, contracts, and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) will be a key responsibility to ensure all client expectations are met and revenue is maximized. Additionally, you will recommend menus and services tailored to clients’ needs, conduct property tours to showcase the hotel’s event capabilities, and provide on-site support during events to maintain high guest satisfaction.

This role requires close collaboration with various hotel departments to guarantee seamless event execution. You will also assist the Director of Sales & Marketing in daily Catering Department operations and be an active participant in BEO meetings, staff meetings, tastings, and other scheduled events, maintaining compliance with company policies and franchise standards. Flexible availability is essential, including working weekends, holidays, and varied shifts depending on business needs.

This position is ideal for someone with strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, who enjoys building lasting client relationships and has a passion for creating memorable event experiences.
