Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • One-year certification from college or technical school
  • At least 2 years experience in catering services
  • Serve Safe Certified is preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret safety, operating and maintenance instructions, policy and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Able to resolve guest issues delicately and to their satisfaction
  • Demonstrated leadership and confidence supervising culinary staff
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measure
  • Computer proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Ability to learn and become proficient with company POS systems

Job Duties

  • Consistently deliver the highest quality of service
  • Respond to customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints quickly and appropriately to increase guest satisfaction
  • Answer all calls and emails in a professional manner daily
  • Filing emails after responding, directing emails that need extra attention to the correct manager or ops member
  • Direct calls to correct personnel and/or departments
  • Lead by example and motivate staff daily on procedures required
  • Train associates on our protocols and the Home Team Way
  • Coordinate all orders/events using Google calendar for availability
  • Communicate with BOH chefs about food item availability daily for all locations
  • Proper entering of all orders for events
  • Faxing/Emailing all order sheets daily to corresponding restaurants
  • Implement proper procedures for FOH staff directing orders for to go and catering calls from the restaurant
  • Plan and prepare proposals for full-service and vending events
  • Prepare pack out lists and coordinate needs for full service, vending events with Event Director and Full Service/Events Manager
  • Review vending/full-service checklists for events prior to event date
  • Communicate all needs for events with Event Director and catering staff
  • Responsible for cash banks/iPad for vending events
  • Train, implement and maintain proper procedures for all events with support staff
  • Communicate all full-service needs with event planner/day of coordinator
  • Manage delegated aspects with Catering Captain for day of event such as equipment, tents, fans, iPad, banks, fees, tickets, garbage, parking passes
  • Communicate with captains pre and post event, provide constructive feedback to strengthen policies and procedures if necessary
  • Create and implement timelines and needs for full-service events, menu labels, buffet set ups and equipment needs
  • Lead by example and motivate staff daily on procedures required
