The Catering Manager 2 position at Sodexo Corporate Services, located at Synchrony in Stamford, CT, represents an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic hospitality team dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role primarily operates Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with occasional weekend events (1-2 per year), offering a balanced yet engaging work schedule. The Catering Manager 2 will serve as the operational heartbeat of the catering program, overseeing the full lifecycle of events from initial inquiry through to flawless execution. This involves meticulous coordination of catering requests, order entry using CaterTrax, and preparation of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure every detail aligns perfectly with client expectations.

In this role, you'll cultivate strong client relationships by understanding their vision and tailoring services to deliver outstanding hospitality. Leadership responsibilities include overseeing event setup, execution, and breakdown to ensure smooth logistics and high-quality presentations. As manager of a talented team that includes a Catering Supervisor, two Catering Attendants, and a Pantry Attendant, you will foster a supportive work environment that emphasizes communication, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.

Job Duties

  • End-to-end event management including coordinating catering requests, entering orders in CaterTrax, and creating Banquet Event Orders
  • Building and maintaining client partnerships by reviewing and detailing events to understand client vision and deliver exceptional service
  • Leading operational activities such as overseeing setup, execution, and breakdown of events to ensure timely and accurate catering deliveries
  • Managing a team consisting of a Catering Supervisor, two Catering Attendants, and a Pantry Attendant to support catering operations
  • Maintaining daily logistics and quality control by ensuring smooth catering flow, upholding service standards, and delivering high-quality presentation and guest experience
