Sodexo Corporate Services is currently seeking a dynamic and highly organized Catering Executive Chef 3 to lead the culinary and catering program at Liberty Mutual’s corporate headquarters in Boston, MA. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a hands-on culinary leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-profile corporate environment. The Catering Executive Chef 3 will be responsible for overseeing all catering culinary operations supporting 35 conference rooms, ensuring exceptional food quality and presentation for executive clients and large-scale events. The role involves leading day-to-day catering, executive dining, and high-touch special events, collaborating closely with the Catering Manager to deliver outstanding client experiences.

This leadership position requires a professional who enjoys being 60-70% hands-on in culinary production while managing and mentoring a team of four hourly employees. The Executive Chef will develop innovative menus, manage event proposals and tastings, and oversee ordering, inventory, labor costs, and food cost control with strong attention to detail and organizational skills. The role demands flexibility to work Monday through Thursday from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with occasional evening and rare weekend responsibilities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years management experience
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc
  • Ability to work Monday through Thursday from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  • Flexibility for occasional evenings and rare weekends
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Oversee all catering culinary operations supporting 35 conference rooms
  • Lead execution of day-to-day catering, executive dining, and high-touch special events
  • Collaborate closely with the Catering Manager to deliver exceptional client experiences
  • Develop innovative menus and manage event proposals and tastings
  • Ensure excellence in food quality, presentation, safety, and sanitation
  • Manage ordering, inventory, labor costs, and food cost control
  • Supervise and mentor a team of 4 hourly employees (3 cooks, 1 utility)
  • Maintain a highly organized kitchen operation with strong attention to detail
