The role of Catering Bartender at SSA Group is a vital part of the company's catering team, reporting to the Catering Supervisor(s) and the Catering Operations Manager(s). This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional guest service in dynamic event settings. Catering Bartenders are responsible for ensuring a memorable experience for every guest by performing the SSA EXTRA Guest Service steps. This role requires overseeing bar quality, product levels, and inventory, as well as ensuring the proper setup, execution, and breakdown of bars during events. Additionally, the Catering Bartender must possess knowledge of bartending techniques and alcoholic drink preparation, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment by serving guests responsibly. The position involves physical tasks including manual labor such as equipment storage and event setup and teardown.

Job Requirements
- physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes (35lbs) as necessary to operation including lifting and performing all functions as set forth above
- ability to work varied hours/days including nights, weekends and holidays as needed

Job Qualifications
- strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to articulate to clients, general managers and HQ personnel
- excelled problem solving and decision making skills combined with the ability to be organized
- demonstrates the ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment
- operate all equipment necessary to perform job duties
- previous bartending and/or event industry experience a plus
- all education backgrounds eligible
Job Duties
- perform SSA EXTRA Guest Service to ensure a memorable experience for every guest and client
- oversee quality, product levels and inventory of product
- fulfill guest’s needs quickly and efficiently as well as resolve complaints effectively
- meet expectations of proper setup, execution, breakdown, and cleanup of their bar(s) during each event
- execute duties for overall productivity of banquet events as assigned
- express knowledge of alcoholic drinks and bartending techniques with guest service in mind
- maintain a safe environment by serving guests responsibly
