The Barback position at Aramark serves an essential role in supporting the bar operations by maintaining inventory, stocking supplies, and ensuring cleanliness and readiness of the bar area. The Barback assists bartenders and other staff members by performing opening and closing duties, including restocking garnishes, napkins, and straws, transporting products, replenishing ice, liquor, wine, and beer supplies, and ensuring that all bar equipment like taps and kegs are functioning efficiently. Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness is paramount; the Barback cleans, sanitizes, and maintains countertops and guest service areas, empties trash receptacles, scrubs coolers, and sweeps and mops floors to uphold sanitary conditions. Physical demands of this job include constant standing and walking, lifting, pulling, and bending, and may require wearing uniforms and personal protective equipment. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends, is necessary to meet operational needs. Job Requirements

  • Previous food service experience preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Assist with opening and closing duties such as restocking the bar with garnishes, straws, and napkins
  • Ensure bartenders have clean towels, glassware, etc
  • Deliver product and use transfer sheets to maintain inventory integrity
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain appearance of workstations and guest service areas
  • Ensure bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer
  • Check taps and appliances to ensure proper functioning and change out kegs
  • Keep the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles
  • Maintain excellent guest service and a positive demeanor
  • Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including food safety and sanitation
  • Ensure security of company assets
