Tasks include arranging tables, chairs, linens, table settings, decorations, and service stations, ensuring all equipment and supplies are prepared ahead of events, and assisting in transporting food and other materials as needed.

Banquet and Catering Servers play a vital role in guest service by welcoming attendees warmly and professionally, serving food and beverages according to established banquet standards, and monitoring guest needs with prompt responses. They are expected to maintain a high level of customer service throughout events and assist guests with inquiries or direct concerns to supervisors when necessary.

The service aspect includes serving plated meals, buffets, hors d'oeuvres, and beverages efficiently and professionally, refilling drinks, replenishing buffet items, and strictly following portion control and presentation guidelines. Compliance with health and safety regulations is crucial in the handling of all food and beverages.

Operational duties involve close collaboration with banquet captains, catering managers, chefs, and event coordinators to ensure smooth and successful event execution. Servers are tasked with maintaining cleanliness and organization in event spaces, monitoring tables, addressing special requests, and facilitating last-minute adjustments.

Post-event responsibilities include cleanup and breakdown duties such as removing dishes, glassware, linens, and equipment, resetting rooms for future events, and properly storing supplies. Maintaining a clean and organized environment, especially in banquet and storage areas, is essential.

Safety and compliance remain a priority with strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, workplace safety procedures, alcohol service policies, and all relevant laws. Servers are required to report any accidents, incidents, or equipment issues promptly to maintain a secure and efficient workplace.

Levy values strong customer service skills, effective communication, teamwork, and flexibility, especially due to the nature of hospitality work encompassing evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
