Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- minimum 1 year of prior relevant experience in catering or food and beverage
- strong understanding of food and beverage industry
- ability to handle high stress and fast paced work environments
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- flexibility in work schedule to attend events
- capability to manage client contracts and financial transactions
Job Qualifications
- At least 1 year of relevant catering or food and beverage management experience
- strong knowledge of food and beverage operations
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- leadership skills including team collaboration and client management
- proficiency in booking and event coordination
- knowledge of budgeting and forecasting in catering sales
- minimum age of 21 years
Job Duties
- Handle all group details after definite confirmation by Convention Sales including food and beverage program, menu selections, estimated and actual revenue, and setup requirements
- manage all sub-group arrangements including credit and space requirements
- respond to new catering business inquiries
- obtain client requirements and execute catering contracts
- book and service all group details including food, beverage, meeting program, and setup through group departure
- obtain deposits, payments, and signatures on contracts, policies, and banquet event orders
- check availability and effectively book banquet facilities
- conduct tours of banquet facilities, sleeping rooms, and other hotel areas
- produce and distribute event details including banquet event orders
- order outside services for events
- maintain a flexible schedule to be present at various functions
- ensure all catering services meet property standards and quality
- conduct pre-convention and weekly departmental meetings
