This combined Catering Sales and Conference Services position plays a critical role within the resort’s Food and Beverage and event operations. Reporting to the Director of Catering & Conference Services and the Director of Group Sales, the role is focused on selling food and beverage services to group clients while acting as the primary contact for conference services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of group accounts, from initial client prospecting and solicitation through to event execution and final billing. This includes creating engaging site inspections, advising clients on menu selections, floor plans, and additional event needs such as entertainment and floral arrangements, and preparing detailed catering proposals. The role demands a high level of coordination and customer service to ensure that all events operated at the highest quality standards, contributing to guest satisfaction and repeat business. The person will also work closely with banquet and operations teams to oversee food and beverage presentation and service, guaranteeing flawless execution of every function. With a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends, this position is ideal for a hospitality professional eager to contribute ideas, enhance operational efficiency, and help increase hotel revenue through upselling and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Job Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear frequently
  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls frequently
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Must read, write and speak English fluently
  • Knowledge of Spanish helpful
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel
  • Experience with Delphi software
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including holidays and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year working in a catering office
  • Four-year degree in hospitality or other business related field desired
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel
  • Experience with Delphi software
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with guests, vendors and co-workers
  • Fluency in English
  • Knowledge of Spanish helpful

Job Duties

  • Provide coordination and servicing of convention and group business
  • Prospect and solicit new business and maintain repeat clients relationships
  • Conduct creative site inspections that deliver an exciting and memorable visit and address the clients needs
  • Work with and make recommendations to clients to prepare menus and floor plans and assist them in other needs such as flowers, photographers, and entertainment
  • Prepare catering proposals
  • Coordinate and service convention business from assignment through meeting dates until final payment
  • Contribute effective ideas to client strategic planning and analysis processes
  • Ensure all activities and services are performed to planned specifications to help ensure guest satisfaction and repeat business
  • Arrange all food and beverage details for assigned functions
  • Coordinate and supervise the preparation, presentation, and service of food and beverage products of functions to ensure highest quality
  • Ensure that all BEOs and paperwork have been completed properly and on a timely basis
  • Ensure proper billing to guest folios and master accounts
  • Contribute to increase hotel revenues by selling above contracted food and beverage minimums and ancillary income sources
  • Identify problems and proactively seek out methods to improve self-performance and/or efficiency of operations
  • Work closely with the banquet manager
  • Adhere to all Trump International Beach Resort safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends
