Currently, Ferguson is seeking an Industrial Category Sales Specialist based in the Southwest District. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about engaging with people, providing exceptional customer service, and impacting the bottom line of a multi-billion-dollar organization. The Industrial Category Sales Specialist focuses primarily on supporting and growing sales within the Intentional Products category, particularly in the Valve and Automation business. This position requires partnering with the sales team and vendors to provide customers with tailored solutions that meet their operational needs.

The role involves prospecting and developing new business at industrial end-user locations, managing relationships with existing customers, and leveraging technical expertise to increase sales in the Intentional Product category. The Specialist will also provide valuable market feedback and insights to sales leadership regarding product trends, market acceptance, and overall performance. Other responsibilities include supporting the outside sales team with engineered products, developing and maintaining vendor relationships, and collaborating closely with inside sales and technical teams to ensure comprehensive customer support.

Customer interactions for this role span presenting proposals and quotes for Valve Automation products to engineering offices and driving product specifications through these professional networks. Success in this role relies heavily on strong communication, technical knowledge, motivation, and goal orientation. The ideal candidate is a team player dedicated to collaboration and leadership, with the ability to organize, prioritize tasks efficiently, and operate various digital tools such as computers, tablets, and mobile devices with ease.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • prospect and develop new valve automation business at industrial end users
