Job Description

This opportunity is offered by a prominent casino and gaming establishment known for delivering exceptional entertainment and hospitality services. Renowned for its welcoming atmosphere and dedication to guest satisfaction, the company operates within the dynamic and thriving gaming industry. As a leader in providing a fun and engaging environment, the company emphasizes professionalism, integrity, and teamwork in its daily operations. The establishment is committed to fostering a positive work culture where employees are valued and supported in their professional growth. This position is primarily hourly, starting at $16 per hour plus tips, typically earning an additional $2 to $3 per hour in gratuities. Employees enjoy a variable schedule and must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the 24/7 nature of the casino environment. Team members begin accruing paid time off (PTO) from their first day, and full-time employees become eligible for comprehensive benefits after 90 days of employment.

The role centers on the critical responsibilities of money handling and customer service at the casino cashier station. Team members in this position are entrusted with distributing monies to gaming guests via various monetary transactions such as check cashing, credit card cash advances, casino credit processing, and converting gaming checks into currency. The position demands a high level of accuracy, accountability, and integrity to ensure all financial exchanges are verified and properly documented in compliance with state and federal regulations. Successful candidates must demonstrate commitment to regular attendance, punctuality, and dress code compliance, arriving on time in a clean uniform with the required name tag, identification, or licenses. This role requires flexibility as employees often work variable shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime when necessary. An ability to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a team is essential to success. Detailed knowledge of gaming regulations, proven by passing quarterly and annual exams, is required to uphold operational standards. The role further includes performing arduous physical tasks such as standing for prolonged periods, lifting or pushing loads of at least 25 pounds, and tolerating the sensory environment of a busy casino floor which includes second-hand smoke, loud noises, bright lights, and dust.

Mathematical proficiency is vital, with responsibilities involving counting currency and chips of various denominations, redeeming marketing and promotional coupons, and conducting accurate record-keeping. Excellent communication skills and the ability to cross-sell company events and amenities enhance the guest experience and contribute to the overall success of the establishment. This position is well-suited for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and who maintain composure and professionalism at all times. Those interested should be prepared to undergo a background check and adhere strictly to all departmental and company policies, contributing to a secure and trustworthy gaming atmosphere.
