Known for its wide selection of beverages and competitive prices, Lee's Discount Liquor strives to create a welcoming and efficient shopping experience for all customers. The company emphasizes maintaining a clean and organized store environment, promoting a friendly atmosphere where customer satisfaction is a top priority. Operating under strict compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, Lee's Discount Liquor commits to responsible retailing of alcohol and other controlled products while fostering a positive workplace for its employees.
The role of a cashier/stocker at Lee's Discount Liquor is integral to the smooth operation of the store and directly influences the customer's shopping experience. The cashier/stocker is responsible not only for handling cash register operations efficiently but also for ensuring that the store remains fully stocked and orderly throughout the day. This dual role requires individuals who are attentive, reliable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment. Cashiers manage customer transactions accurately, verify identification for alcohol sales in compliance with legal requirements, and use up-selling techniques to complement customer purchases. Stockers contribute by keeping merchandise shelves and coolers well stocked and fronted, ensuring that the store is visually appealing and products are easily accessible to customers.
Beyond these operational duties, the cashier/stocker serves as a frontline representative of Lee's Discount Liquor's customer service philosophy, putting customers' needs first and maintaining a pleasant shopping environment. The role demands standing for up to 8 hours, regularly lifting items between 20-50 lbs, and performing cleaning tasks such as maintaining the cleanliness of equipment, floors, registers, and restrooms. Attention to detail is essential to minimize cashier errors, prepare accurate shift-change reports, and promptly notify management of any discrepancies or operational issues. The cashier/stocker's awareness of compliance with city, county, state, and federal regulations is critical to uphold the store's reputation and legal standing. Successful candidates will demonstrate patience, professionalism, and a commitment to providing an excellent customer experience, treating every customer with courtesy and a friendly demeanor from greeting to checkout. This role reports directly to the Store Manager and plays a crucial part in fostering a productive and welcoming retail environment, making it an excellent opportunity for those seeking a dynamic position in retail liquor sales.
