We are currently seeking a dedicated Cashier/Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team. This energetic role is at the heart of our customer interaction and retail operations. As the face of the store, the Cashier/Customer Service Representative will be responsible for managing retail sales transactions with precision and professionalism. This includes operating POS systems for cash and credit card transactions while ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies. Beyond transactions, the role extends to providing exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, assisting with product knowledge, and conducting product demonstrations to educate shoppers and promote upselling opportunities.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure and professionalism at all times. They will assist with maintaining an organized and attractive merchandising display, stock shelves regularly, and help manage inventory accuracy. This role requires strong multitasking skills as the individual will also support team members with some supervisory duties, such as training new associates or mentoring less experienced staff. The Cashier/Customer Service Representative plays a pivotal role in creating a welcoming and efficient shopping experience that encourages repeat business and customer loyalty. Job Requirements

  • Previous retail sales experience preferably in grocery stores or similar environments
  • Proficiency with POS systems cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transactions
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in multiple languages (bilingual skills are a plus)
  • Experience with merchandising stocking and retail math to manage inventory levels accurately
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly professional attitude
  • Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales transactions is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform cashiering duties confidently while maintaining high standards of phone etiquette and professionalism

Job Duties

  • Greet customers warmly providing outstanding service and assistance throughout their shopping journey
  • Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail transactions including cash handling and credit card processing
  • Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits encouraging upselling opportunities
  • Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure an inviting store environment
  • Assist with stocking inventory management and ensuring products are available for customers
  • Handle retail sales transactions efficiently while maintaining excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone
  • Support team members with supervising experience by helping train new staff or guiding less experienced associates
